About
Retro Radio Restoration
Mike
Frenchek worked on radios at a very early
age. In 1965, he was, at that time, the
youngest person to graduate from Pittsburgh
Institute of Electronics. In 1974, he
was graduated from the University of Pittsburgh
as an Electrical Engineer, and was selected
Outstanding Senior, Electrical Engineering.
Following graduation, Mike worked at Bell
of PA, later Bell Atlantic, and retired
as a Director in 1998. After working with
a Silicon Valley start up company, Mike
returned home and started his own business,
combining his enjoyment of antique automobiles
and love of old radios. In 2003, Retro
Radio Restoration was born. Chris, Mike’s
devoted wife, recently retired after 35
years in public education and joined Mike
in the business. As a result, his life
has changed…for the better! You
will see us both at the car shows.
